Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide has called for the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari over what he calls ‘abdication of responsibility to God.’
This follows President Buhari’s statement that only God can effectively supervise Nigeria’s border with the Republic of Niger on Tuesday.

Reacting to the statement, Omokri expressed that if the President in any other nation admits publicly that he can’t police the borders of his nation, the President will resign or be removed.
He wrote:
“In any other country, when a President publicly admits that he can no longer police his nation’s borders, he will resign or be removed. How can a President, whose main job is to protect the territorial integrity of a nation, abdicate that responsibility to God? #Buhari has to go!”
