National Centre for Disease Control Boss Quarantined For Coronavirus

The Director-General of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, has been quarantined for 14 days as part of measures to stop the Coronavirus from spreading into the country.

This was made known by the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, while briefing the leadership of the Senate on efforts being made to curb the spread of the disease in Nigeria on Tuesday.

The minister pointed out that the DG had to be isolated in his residence since he just returned from China as a delegate for the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Wuhan, China to understudy the behavioural pattern of the COVID-19.
