Shehu Sani Appeals For Inclusion Of Abuja Indigenes In Politics

Civil right activist and former senator, Shehu Sani has made a passionate appeal to the Federal government of Nigeria to include the citizens of Abuja in the government of the nation.

The former senator representing Kaduna Central made this statement in reaction to the protest by Abuja indigenous people as a result of their exclusion from the ministerial appointments.

The Kaduna born activist pointed out that the people of Abuja should not be marginalised because their land is the Federal Capital of Nigeria.

He tweeted:

#WorldIndigenousDay on this day I call on the FG and the nation to be fair and just to the indigenous people of Abuja; They should be adequately compensated for the use of their land and should not be marginalized in the distribution of political appointments & amenities.”
