A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri says two journalists with access to Boko Haram have announced that Leah Sharibu, the abducted Dapchi girl is alive.

Omokri said this on Friday while reacting to claims by Grace Taku, who was abducted by Boko Haram, saying Leah and some other aid workers have been killed by Boko Haram insurgents.

In a tweet on Friday, Omokri says he has been reliably informed that Leah is alive and he would set aside his difference with President Muhammadu Buhari if he does everything to ensure that Sharibu is brought back safe and sound.

He wrote: I’ve been informed by 2 journalists with access to Boko Haram that the faction claiming Leah is dead is NOT the one that abducted and holds her. I‘m told Leah is ALIVE. I put aside my differences with Gen @MBuhari and VOW not to oppose him going forward if he‘ll #FreeLeahSharibu.
