Bola Tinubu loses first son

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday lost his oldest son, Babajide.

The Lagos State Chairman of the APC, Chief Henry Ajomale, confirmed this to our correspondent on the telephone.

Ajomale, while condoling with the former Lagos State governor, denied reports that he issued a statement.

He said, “I can confirm to you that Asiwaju lost his oldest son today. However, I haven’t sent out any statement yet. We in the APC condole with him.”

The deceased was said to have gone out with friends and slumped and died on his way back home.

According to Bloomberg, Mr. Jide Tinubu served as Promoter of TSL Limited until his death.

The deceased worked in the Legal Department of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited from January 2000 to September 2001. Prior to this, he had brief stints with Cargo Maritime, Paris, France, a firm of shipbrokers that specialises in petroleum product tankers, and Ocean and Oil Services Ltd.

He was a Law graduate of the University of Liverpool, England. He obtained a Masters degree in Maritime Law from the university.
