Nigeria’s Super Falcons Qualify For S’Finals Women Africa Cup Of Nations

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have secured Semifinal qualification for the Women’s African Nations Cup after thrashing Kenya 4-0 to top Group B.

Nigeria started quickly against Kenya in Limbe and opened the scoring after just two minutes of play as Ngozi Okobi fired home on her first start of the tournament.

The lead was doubled four minutes later as Faith Ikidi headed the ball into the top corner beyond the reach of Kenya goalkeeper from a free-kick.

Despite Kenya creating several half chances, it was Nigeria who extended their lead in the 53rd minute through Oshoala.

Nigeria’s fourth came in the closing minutes as Desire Oparanozie beat a Kenyan defender to fire home from the edge of the six-yard area.

The Falcons will now face South Africa in the Semi Finals on Tuesday.
