According to reports in Belgium, Leicester has lodged a £15.5million bid for the starlet.

Ndidi who can play in central midfield or defense has caught the eye with his mature displays for Genk over the past two seasons.

Genk are said to be holding out for more money for the Nigerian, and hope to scoop around £21.5m for any sale.

The club’s technical director Dimitri De Conde told the paper: “Ndidi and [team-mate Leon] Bailey  have indicated that they want to stay until the end of the season.

But suppose there comes a mega bid, it is very difficult to keep them here.

Ndidi has made 30 appearances for his current Belgium employers, scoring two goals.

He’s also been linked to Newcastle in recent days, however, the Magpies are now set to be beaten in the transfer market.
