Leverkusen Midfielder Out For The Rest Of The Season

Bayern Leverkusen midfielder, Gonzalo Castro has been sidelined for the rest of the season with a knee injury, the club have announced.

The 27-year-old suffered a meniscus tear during training, which requires surgery and will prevent the midfielder from playing a part in Bayer’s push for a top-three finish.

The club said in a statement: “Bayer go into the final sprint of the season without their midfield ace Gonzalo Castro. Bayer’s all-rounder retired during training on Wednesday morning with a tear of the medial meniscus in his left knee.”
