Ikpeazu Blames APGA, Otti For Mystery Caskets Placed All Over Aba Threatening Electorates With Death If They Do Not Vote PDP

1The Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has dissociated himself from the “ugly” incident in Aba, the commercial nerve centre of the state, where residents woke up on Thursday morning to the mysterious sights of caskets in various parts of the town.

The caskets were placed with a warning that whoever refuses to vote the PDP flag bearer in the April 25 supplementary election in the state will die.

A statement signed by his personal assistant, Enyinnaya Appolos, said Mr. Ikpeazu not only dissociated himself from the dastardly act, he also attributed the development to the handiwork of the opposition, who he said had shown their desperations in various forms since the race for the Abia governorship seat began.

“Dr. Okezie is however assuring Aba people who have always supported him not to be deterred by the intimidation from Alex Otti and his party, APGA, urging Ndi Aba and Abians in the wards and polling units where the supplementary election will hold on Saturday to come out and vote him as they did on April 11.

“Dr. Ikpeazu is also urging the Aba business community to go about their lawful business without any fear of molestations”, the statement read in part.
