Pillars Striker Kabiru Umar Joins Iranian Club- Report

Kano Pillars striker Kabiru Umar has reportedly agreed to join Iranian club Saipa FC.

The former JUTH FC, Enugu Rangers and Heartland marksman played 13 games and scored six goals as Pillars clinched a third successive Glo Premier League title in the previous campaign.

He told AfricanFootball.com that he will “move on” from the Pyramid City club after seeing out his loan deal with the reigning Nigerian champions.

“I have now agreed a two-year deal with Saipa FC in Iran and I will join them this month to put pen on paper to formalise the deal,” Umar is quoted as saying on AfricanFootball.com.

“I think I have paid my dues in the Nigeria league and need to move on. I thank Kano Pillars for the chance and opportunity given me to play for them.”
