Superstar Nollywood actress and reality TV star — Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is known for her outspokenness when it comes to certain issues.

The mother and actress expressed her anger over the decision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to exclude the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola from its Vice Presidential ticket for the 2015 elections.

Omotola criticized the decision and the system which she said leaves out leaders like Fashola and former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke.

The actress tweeted:

“Political plans not taking Donald duke/Babatunde Fashola in2 consideration right now takes Nigerian youths 4 granted.Y’all gon learn!#change”

“We are tired of “the” Tired zoning and religious system! We want Dynamic outstanding Leaders! No more business as usual. #Change #Courage”

The APC source attributed the party’s decision to a warning given by former President Olusegun Obasanjo against the fielding of two candidates of the same religion

  1. There is the need for a balance in religion and tribal background and is the principle behind the Federal Character Commission so that every Nigerian can be accomodated. This ensures that there is a balance. When the President is from the north, the Vice should be from the South. When the President is a muslim, the Vice should be a Christian. We need the balance.
