Rep Jagaba Dumps PDP For APC

Jagaba Adams JagabaThe member representing Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency of Kaduna State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Jagaba Adams Jagaba, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for All Progressives Congress, APC.

Jagaba, a second-term member of the House, follows in the step of another federal lawmaker from Kaduna State, Hon. Isa Mohammed Ashiru (Makarfi/Kudan), who is now one of the governorship aspirants in the state.

In a letter dated November 8, to the Kaduna State chairman of PDP, Abubakar Haruna, Rep. Jagaba, who is Chairman of the House Committee on Drugs/Narcotics and Financial Crimes, said his withdrawal from the party was compulsory. He also returned his membership card.

“I hereby convey to you the compulsory withdrawal of my membership from the PDP and forward herewith my membership card number 4803706”, he said in the letter.

The lawmaker said he relinquished his membership of the PDP due to irregularities in the just concluded ward and local government congresses.

“My action is premised on the fact that the ward congresses which was billed to hold on 1st November, 2014 did not take place in our entire Local Government Areas as members of the congress committee absconded with materials meant for the exercise.

“They subsequently unilaterally selected their cronies from each ward and forwarded to the State Congress Committee as delegates”, he said.
