Information Nigeria decided to cull 5 major striking points.

1) “I hoped the world would ignore it as just another African tragedy”– The writer was referring to the abducted Chibok Girls, claiming Jonathan would have ignored the abduction had it not gone viral courtesy of the powerful #BringBackOurGirls hashtag. In Irony, she’s ostensibly right as the President displayed a lackadaisical attitude in the early stages.

2) “My detractors will point also to human rights abuses perpetrated by the military. Let the finger-pointing stop.”– A scathing attack to the Nigerian Military, pointing at their inhuman treatment of Nigerians many a times. Most particularly in BokoHaram prone States.

3) “Infact, my heartache was so painful that I canceled plans to visit Chibok.” Jonathan decision to boycott an eagerly anticipated visit to Chibok came under heavy criticism. In a sarcastic way, the writer is mocking the President for canceling the trip.

4) “Instead, I eased my pain by flying to Paris for a national security summit.”– A continuation of point three. In this, the writer feels Jonathan is relaxed and his comfort comes first before the country’s affairs.

5) “Something positive can come out of the kidnappings more than 70 days ago”– This is self explanatory. Its been more than 70days since the Chibok students were abducted and not even the President himself knows their whereabouts.
