Fully Fit Omeruo Happy to Be Back

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo is happy to be back training with the rest of the World Cup squad, after missing out on some of the warm-up friendlies due to injury.

The Chelsea centre-back has had to carry out individual sessions in recent week, following an ankle injury he suffered in training in the United States of America.

“Kenneth is happy to be back training with the rest of the squad,” the player’s adviser Chuka Akujobi told AfricanFootball.com.

It is yet unknown if Omeruo will be Listed in Nigeria Starting Line-Up Against Iran.

“He said he felt no training all through the training.”

The injury forced the 20-year-old out of Coach Stephen Keshi’s team for the final tune-up game against the USA, a fortnight after missing the Eagles send-forth match against Scotland at Craven Cottage, London, due to malaria.
