Hull City Boss Bruce Slams £7m Price Tag on Aluko

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has placed a £7m price tag on unsettled Nigerian forward Sone ALuko.

According to the Daily Star, Aluko is considering his future, three months after inking a new two-and-a-half-year deal with the Premier League club.

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis is reportedly a keen admirer of the 25-year-old and is willing to table an offer for his services, if the player decides to end his two-year relationship with the ‘Tigers’ this summer.

Aluko, who has made only 15 league appearances for Hull this season, is frustrated by a lack of first team appearance, following his return to fitness in February, after recuperating from a foot injury.

But Bruce insists the former Birmingham, Aberdeen and Rangers man suitors should be prepared to pay big.

“In my eyes, Sone is a £7m player,” said Bruce. “I can understand his frustration because, if you are not playing and you’ve got something about you, then of course you question it.

“At the end of the day a player only thinks of one thing, and that’s himself. I was the same – if you are not playing, you’re not happy.

“But, just because we paid £7m each for Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic in January, it doesn’t mean Sone is out on his ear.”

“I see Sone as a big part of what we are trying to do here, but we need to get him fully fit and back to being the player I know he is.”
