Emenike Scores But Crowd Trouble Halts Fener Match

The match between Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor at the Huseyin Avni Aker Stadyumu in Trabzon was abandoned on Monday due to crowd trouble.

Nigerian striker Emmanuel Emenike had handed the visitors the lead in the 23rd minute when the game was called off.

The referee had already halted the game twice before deciding to end it 10 minutes into added time at the end of the first-half.

Emenike and his teammates escaped unhurt as the crowd continued to throw object into the pitch. Fans continued to clash with Police in the street after the match.
