The Nigeria Under- 20 football team Flying Eagles defeated non- league Feldmoching 3-0 in their second friendly, near Munich in Germany on Monday.

The Nigerians controlled the game from kick- off to final whistle and looked more coordinated than their first game against the Nurnberg U23 team last week.

Uche Agbo threatened the opponents in the 17th and 32nd minute, but his shots were wide off target.

The Nigeria U-20s took the lead on 39 minutes through an own goal, prompted by centre half Chizoba Amaefule.

Four changes were made at the start of the second period, Amaefule, Umar Aminu, Bright Ejike and skipper Abduljaleel Ajagun were withdrawn.

Substitute Oluwasemilogo Ajayi from Charlton Athletic youth team in England made it 2-0 for the Flying Eagles in the 83rd minute when he rose above the Feldmoching defenders to power home a header off a Christian Pyagbara corner.

In the 89th minute, Agbo made it 3-0, rounding up the German team’s goalkeeper after a through ball by Samuel Edouk.

Pyagbara injected more urgency into the attack, after coming in for Lucky Omeruo and he could have opened scoring three minutes from the interval, but his lukewarm shot from the edge of the box couldn’t beat the goalkeeper.

Substitute Eduok also troubled the opponents’ goal, but either of his efforts was wide or too weak.
