Playoff Series: Spurs Extends Lead to 2-0 Over Lakers in Game 2 of the Western Conference.

San Antonio Spurs beat the Los Angeles Lakers 102-91 on Wednesday night to take a 2-0 lead in their first- round playoff series.
Tony Parker had 28 points and seven assists, teammates, Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard had 16 points each, Manu Ginobili added 13 points and Matt Bonner had 10 for San Antonio.

Dwight Howard and Steve Blake led Lakers with 16 points each. Metta World Peace and Pau Gasol added 13 points each. In the absence of Kobe Bryant due to injury, no other player had more than nine points as Lakers shot 45 percent from the field.

The Spurs shot 51 percent from the field after shooting 38 percent in Game 1. They were 7- for- 14 on the 3- pointers, including 5- for- 7 in the first half.
Lakers shot 37 percent in the first quarter and were 9- for- 24 in the same quarter, a slight improvement over their 7- for- 20 performance (35 percent) in the opening quarter of Game 1.
Game 3 of their Western Conference Playoff series comes up on Friday in Los Angeles.
