CPC Leader Urges Followers to Embrace ACN, APGA, ANPP in New Merger

BuhariTinubuThe leader of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Oyo State, Mr Adebayo Shittu, has stated that the newly formed All Progressive Party (APC) is the panacea for the myriad of problems bedeviling Nigeria.

Shittu made the remark at the general meeting of the party held in Ibadan, at the weekend in Ibadan. He stressed that the commitment of the four political parties that had signed up for the merger was total and expressed the confidence that with the current level of consolidation, getting the approval of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the new party would be a walkover.

He therefore urged CPC members in the state to be ready to embrace people who, hitherto, had been members of other political parties “but have now come together as a much bigger political party… there is the need for us to open our hearts and arms and embrace members of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP) and the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Oyo State in the confidence that with this bigger and more consolidated platform, we will be able to win all elections in Oyo State.”
