Bishop Peace Okonkwo Marks Birthday With Free Cervical Cancer Screening

Peace-OkonkwoOVER 10,000 women, especially those in the rural areas are to benefit from a free cervical cancer screening project courtesy of the wife of the Presiding Bishop of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) and Resident Pastor of TREM Headquarters, Dr. Peace Okonkwo, who turns 60 on June 10, 2012.

The screening will be officially unveiled through a Peace Concert scheduled to hold on June 3, 2012, at Expo Hall of Eko Hotel and Suits, Lagos.

Artists expected to perform at the concert include, Minster Genier Chenir from USA, Onyeka Onwenu, Midnight Crew, Buchi, Temitayo George, Tolu Odukoya, and an orchestral group from Archbishop Vining, etc. The concert will be anchored by TEE A and Helen Paul.

The free cervical cancer screening event will begin on June 9, at the premises of TREM Headquarters Church Anthony Oke, Gbagada Expressway, Lagos.

Other initiatives of Women of Global Impact (WGI) founded by Dr. Peace Okonkwo to bring succour to the less privileged women and children includes International Women Prayer Conference, Rehoboth Homes And Skills Acquisition Centre, Children Education Support, Orphanage Support and Widows Support.
