Togo Confirms First Case Of Coronavirus

The government of Togo on Friday confirmed its first case of coronavirus as a 42-year-old female resident of Lome, the country’s capital.

This was made known in a statement by the Togolese government, saying that the woman had visited Benin, Germany, France and Turkey in late February and early March.

This was after Cameroon confirmed its first case of the virus earlier on Friday, with Togo making it the ninth African country to report a confirmed case.
