The Council on Foreign Relations has cancelled a roundtable called “Doing Business Under Coronavirus” in New York due to the spread of the deadly virus.
According to reports, the Coronavirus conference was scheduled to hold on Friday in New York.
CFR has also cancelled other in-person conferences that were scheduled from March 11 to April 3, including roundtables in New York and Washington and national events around the U.S.
The CFR’s confabs are joining a long list of canceled or postponed gatherings, including the official meeting of the International Nidovirus Symposium which was postponed to 2021.
This decision is coming in adherence to the call from the World Health Organisation that people should avoid crowd gatherings.
