Coronavirus: Adamawa, Kano, Ondo States Order Closure Of Schools

Adamawa State Government has ordered the closure of all schools with effect from next week, March 27.

According to the State’s Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, the decision to shut down schools is an effort to prevent the invasion of coronavirus.

Staying in the North, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has directed the closure of public and private schools across the state as part of precautionary measures against the threat posed by the Coronavirus.

The indefinite vacation is scheduled to take effect from Monday, March 23, 2020.

Meanwhile, in the South West, the Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has ordered the immediate closure of schools across the state.

According to the Governor, who gave the directive on Thursday evening during a statewide broadcast, all primary and secondary schools, as well tertiary institutions in the state should be closed as from tomorrow, Friday March 20, 2020.
