Staff and visitors of the State House, Abuja, were screened on Wednesday as part of efforts to check the spread of coronavirus in the country.
According to NAN, some staff expressed their pleasure at the development and hailed the state house management for undertaking precautionary measures to guide against the spread of the virus.
Kabiru Yusuf, an Aso Rock official, reportedly urged government ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) as well as private organisations and establishments to emulate the state house by putting in place similar measures to check the influx of the virus.
Sanitisers were also seen to be placed at strategic places within the presidential villa.
An Italian national who visited from Milan, Italy, to Lagos, Nigeria on February 25th was confirmed as the index case of coronavirus disease in Lagos.
