The Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN, has said that he was not involved with the dethronement of the former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II and his subsequent banishment to Nasarawa State.
Malami made this known in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday by Dr. Umar Gwandu, Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations Office of the Minister.

Recall that the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) – was named as one of the respondents in a fundamental rights enforcement suit filed on March 12, 2020 by Sanusi.
The AGF further revealed that he will wait for the court to rule before making any more comment on the issue.
