Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has commended the plans of the federal government to support the entertainment industry with N7billion.

The former lawmaker from Kaduna expressed that the initiative to inject such amount into an industry that has contributed a lot to the economy and culture of Nigeria is a welcome development.

However, the former lawmaker urged for caution in the disbursement of such an amount, expressing that the money should be guided by professionals in order to avoid falling into the hands of politicians.

Nigerian comedian, Alibaba, has reacted to the shooting of unarmed protesters at Lekki Tollgate by military officers on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

The veteran comedian cum actor and events compere took to his Instagram page to condemn the incident. Part of his post reads:

“The biggest mistake any democratically elected government can make, is to hand over its control to the military. Because in doing that, you have undermined the constitution, you have canceled the purpose of the National Assembly, made nonsense of the Supreme Court and confirmed that the Presidency cannot manage the country’s affairs.

Morayo Afolabi-Brown and Tope Mark-Odigie, presenters of the popular breakfast talk show on TVC, ‘Your View’, have revealed that they are now safe from the attacks by hoodlums at the station’s headquarters in Lagos while airing their show live on Wednesday, October 21 2020.

Tope Mark-Odigie took to her Twitter page to write:

“We are home and safe. @moakabash and I just got home after seeing morayo home.”
