According to the anti-graft agency, Saraki spent N1.09 billion out of the N10b Federal allocation to build two houses in Ilorin.

However, Saraki denied the allegations through his counsel, Kehinde Ogunwunmiju (SAN) and opposed the prayer for forfeiture.

Rotimi Oyedepo, Counsel to the EFCC had prayed Justice Rilwan Aikawa to forfeit the houses to the Federal Government.

Oyedepo also insisted that interim forfeiture order obtained by the EFCC on December 2, 2019 for Saraki’s houses at Plots No. 10 and No. 11 Abdulkadir Road, GRA, Ilorin, Kwara State be made permanent.

The case was adjourned till April 27 for judgment.
