Akon To Establish Akon City In Senegal

American based Sengalese singer, Akon has signed off with Senegal’s state-owned tourism company SAPCO to establish Akon City.

Akon recently took to Instagram, uploading a picture of himself with administrators holding up the finalizing papers of the agreement, with the caption “looking forward to hosting you there in the future.”

The singer didn’t give away too many details in his post, but back in December, he told Nick Cannon about his goals for the city.

“It’s a 10-year building block so we’re doing it in stages,” he said at the time. “We started construction in March (2019) and stage two is going to be 2025.”

Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa has slammed those accusing her of getting paid by the government to fake her illness.

Information Nigeria recalls the media personality announced that she tested positive for the novel coronavirus and she also shared her harrowed ordeal.

Reacting to the revelation, some Nigerians took to her comment section to allege that she must have been paid by the Federal government to announce that she has contracted the deadly virus.

Makinwa later took to Twitter to respond to the accusations.

The media personality tweeted;

“And to the people saying the government must have paid me to say I got Covid, I know the government has fucked you over so bad you have trust issues, I feel bad for you too but pls let me heal in peace.

For those who doubt that Covid is real, I hope you get a personal encounter, may you catch Covid-19 and also survive it so going forward if you can’t practice something called “Empathy”, you’ll atleast keep quiet.

Experience is best. All in all, love and light xx”

A video trending on social media captures the moment Nigerian grassroot politician, Desmond Elliot got overwhelmed by emotions during an interview with Arise TV.

In the video, the actor turned lawmaker broke down in tears, following the backlash he  received from Nigerians for pushing for the regulation of social media.

Information Nigeria recalls that the former actor called for social media regulation during a plenary session held by the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Elliot had condemned the use of social media by influencers, celebrities and the youth.

Nigerians wasted no time in dragging the politician over his controversial speech where he also termed youths as “children”.

The actor finally succumbed as he tendered a well-deserved apology via Twitter hours after the video went viral.

Nigerian actress and entrepreneur, Tonto Dikeh, took to her Twitter page on Wednesday evening to reveal how many countries became developed over time. The Federal Government recent appointee credits their development to the strengths and potential of their youth.

The movie star shared a portrait photo of herself and captioned it thus:
