Kogi Election: Girl Hit By Bullet From Helicopter Hospitalised

Omoba Deborah who was alleged to have been hit by a bullet from a helicopter which hovered around Lokoja, Kogi state during the November 16 governorship election is said to be fighting for her life. The 23-year-old woman is presently at the Federal Medical Centre,  Lokoja with a bullet still lodged in her body, according to reports. Deborah was said to be sleeping at her home at the pastorium of the Apostolic Church headquarters, Ajara quarters Lokoja, when she was hit by a stray bullet.

As results from various polling units across Kogi West senatorial district following the supplementary poll come in one after the other, Smart Adeyemi, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is already taking the lead. The Republic of Benin has been accused unrepentant about importing prohibited goods for ultimate dumping into Nigeria’s market in spite of the partial border closure order. The accusation was made by Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture when he appeared on a live programme on TV Continental. Atiku Reacts To Killing Of 43 Borno Farmers By Boko Haram

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to rejig the security architecture of Nigeria following the continuous attacks of Boko Haram in the nation.

This is coming following the beheading of 43 farmers in Zabarmari, less than 20 km from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital by suspected Boko Haram members.

Reacting in a post on his Twitter page, Atiku expressed sadness over the tragic incident, describing it as heartbreaking.

The former presidential candidate condoled with families of the slain farmers in Borno State.

He wrote:

The former lawmaker who reacted via a statement on his Twitter account lamented that Nigeria has continued to bleed in the hands of the evil ones.
