The Nigerians In Diaspora Commission has debunked claims that it has resolved that MTN, DSTV, Shoprite which are South African companies operating in Nigeria, should quit businesses.
The commission made this known in a statement on Thursday while reacting to reports that it held a meeting on Wednesday where it made the above resolve.
Distancing itself from the report, the commission said, “ Our attention has been drawn to a publication being circulated by Nairametrics today the 8th of August 2019 that a meeting held yesterday between the Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission and National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS) ended with a resolution that MTN, DSTV and Shoprite should quit business.

We want to categorically state that such news is false and malicious as no resolution or demand like that was made during the meeting.
The Chairman of NIDCOM, Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa made an appeal at a joint Press Conference Wednesday in Abuja to the Leadership of NANS.
And emphasized that justice must be done and must be quick too.
