RevolutionNow: DSS Set To Detain Sowore For 3 Months

The Department of State Services (DSS) has applied to a Federal High Court in Abuja seeking an injunction to further detain Omoyele Sowore, the convener of RevolutionNow protest, for 90 days.

The court began proceedings on the hearing on Monday, and after listening to G. O. Agbadua, counsel to DSS, the court adjourned till Thursday, for ruling.

Sowore, who was a presidential candidate during the 2019 presidential election was arrested in Lagos on Saturday, August 3rd, before he was moved to a high detention facility in Abuja.

Despite his arrest, his planned protest went ahead although with little success.
