Love him or hate, Ayo Balogun aka Wizkid is one of Nigeria’s biggest music talent, and with an ego to match.

The recently turned 29-year-old superstar has given his fans in particular and Nigeria in general something to brag about in the international music scene.

Starting off at age 11 and releasing a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed, to being signed in 2009, to Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E), there has been an upward forward movement for our favourite starboy.

With 2010 track “Holla at Your Boy” from his debut studio album, Superstar (2011), the singer hasn’t slowed down since then.

The ‘Ojuelegbe’ singer has kept tongues wagging and hearts beating with his star feature on a track in Beyonce’s Lion King album, “Brown Skin Girl” which was released on Friday.

If there’s one thing you can’t take away from Wizzy, it’s his very loyal fan base — Die-hard fans who are ready to defend him against any kind of accusation or troll. Anyone ready to come at Wizkid must have to go through the Wizkid FC, and that is definitely a tough wall to break.
