He went on to say after the prayer as the children were returning to their seats, the siblings got separated. The uncle added that he was told about the child’s disappearance 40 minutes later.

He said he immediately went to the church to request the CCTV footage of the premises but was told there is no CCTV camera was installed on the premises. All the Church had was the media coverage which focused only on the altar.

He further stated that he reported at the police station, then went back to the church on Tuesday, and there was a service going on. He said he spoke to a pastor, telling him his grievances, but while talking, the said pastor asked that he be excused as he wanted to mount the pulpit and suggested the uncle comes back.

Esuola continued, saying the pastor did not show any empathy and instead replied angrily on why he would suggest seeing him.

“Rather than tell me the time that would be convenient for him to see me, he said angrily that how could I just assume that he would be free anytime I chose to see him. The least he could do was to show some level of empathy.”

Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi, Head of Media and Public Relations, said the church is doing everything in its power to find the girl. When contacted.
