Pastor Fatoyinbo cancels annual church programme, didn't preach

Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), may have stepped down following rape allegations levelled against him by Busola Dakolo.

Pastor Bidoun or any church official didn’t officially announce his stepping down, but from the proceedings of the church today, it is possible that the pastor has stepped down.

Busola, a celebrity photographer and wife of Time Dakolo, a Nigerian singer had accused Fatoyinbo of sexually abusing her as a teenager in Ilorin, Kwara state.

However, Modele Fatoyinbo, wife of Biodun, who’s also a senior pastor of the church said there is no way her husband will rape anyone.

Mrs Fatoyinbo said this while speaking at the Abuja headquarters of the church on Sunday.

“My husband is not a rapist. Even if he was not a believer, he would not be a rapist,” Modele said.

“If you are a first timer, this is the authentic COZA you’ve heard about. You can hug each other. If you are of the same sex, please o, before they say we are giving women to men. ”

Then some female members of the church gave testimonies on how their lives have been transformed by God through Pastor Biodun.

Pastor Biodun himself spoke briefly, as he announced that the annual seven days programme of the church which would have started on Monday has been cancelled until further notice.

According to the founder, who didn’t preach at service today, the leading to cancel the programme came from the  “Holy Spirit”.
