Some security agents have whisked away two unidentified men who showed up for a planned protest at the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Abuja. Since the allegations, many social media activists have vowed to see that justice prevails and the truth is unravelled, hence the protest at the church headquarters in Abuja, today.
President Buhari and VP Yemi Osinbajo, have been challenged by the Peoples Democratic Party to publicly declare their assets as a way of proving that they are not corrupt. President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, and the Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, was also added to the list of people who need to declare their assets to convince Nigerians.
Nigeria president and ECOWAS chairman, President Muhammadu Buhari, has presented a posthumous ECOWAS award to Mr Bankole Cardoso on behalf of his mother, late, Dr Stella. The award was for the selfless sacrifices of the late Dr Stella Adadevoh who helped curbed the wider spread of the Ebola virus in Nigeria by placing.
Prof Wole Soyinka, Nobel laureate, has finally reacted to the aircraft seat incident reported by billionaire politician, Patrick Tonye. According to Tonye, the young man had refused to allow the literary icon to take his seat allotted to him on an aircraft, even when other passengers had begged him to.
The director-general, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim, has made it clear that any corps member caught smoking Indian hemp would be dismissed from the scheme. The NYSC DG said this while addressing Batch B Stream 2 corps members undergoing orientation at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Sagamu, on Friday.
Toyin Saraki, the wife of the former Senate president, has joined millions of Nigerians in reacting to the allegation of rape levied against Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly by Busola Dakolo, wife of singer, Timi Dakolo. According to Toyin Saraki who reacted via a tweet she sent out via her handle, she said ”Coercion is not consent. Intimidation is not consent. Sex with a child is Rape.”
A 20-year-old Girl identified as Makoduchukwu has been arrested by the Anambra police for allegedly stabbing her husband to death in their home at NO. 16 Donking Street, Nsugbe in Anambra East LGA of Anambra State. Her husband, John Bosco Ngu was said to have been stabbed by his wife which a sharp knife on his chest according to the Anambra police command.
As stiff opposition continue to greet the Federal Government’s plan to establish Ruga settlements for cattle herders across the country rages, the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has dismissed reports that his office would be coordinating the programme. According to the Federal government, the aim or establishing these Ruga settlements was to stop open grazing by herdsmen.
Veteran Nigerian actress Genevieve Nnaji has reacted to the trending COZA drama online. The Lionheart actress took to her IG stories to affirm she is up to date with what’s happening online.Recall some days ago, Busola Dakolo, the wife of singer Timi Dakolo and a talented photographer, had granted an interview to YNaija where she revealed that COZA pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo raped her.

Fayemi Names Members Of Judicial Panel On Human Rights Violations By Police
Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi has constituted a judicial panel of inquiry to investigate cases of human rights violations against police officers.
The Governor named retired Justice Cornelius Akintayo and retired Police Commissioner, Mr. Dipo Ayeni, as members of the Judicial Panel of Inquiry.
This decision was contained in a statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode.
Other members of the panel are: Mrs. Yetunde Kolawole, State Counsel- Representing the Honourable Attorney-General & Commissioner for Justice,
Mrs. Kikelomo Owolabi, Chairperson, Nigerian Bar Association, Ikere-Ekiti Branch, and Mr. Rotimi Ojomoyela, Chair, Nigerian Union of Journalists, Ekiti State Branch.
Others include: Mr. Jamiu Abiodun Adigun, Representative, National Human Rights Commission, Mr. Adeyinka Opaleke, Representative, Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, Ms. Caroline Fakinlede, Ekiti State Youths Representative, Mr. Abiola Johnson-Ogunleye- Ekiti State Students Representative and Mr. Akin Rotimi, Researcher, Police Reforms.
#EndSARS: ‘Protesters Are Not Here To Cause Chaos’ – Shehu Sani
This is coming at a time when there have been reports of the government planning to deploy troops of the Nigerian military to control the situation which has heightened the tension in the country.
Reacting to the reports, the former lawmaker from Kaduna stated that the protesters are not mischief-makers as being reported in some quarters but rather people who want the chaos in the country to end.

BREAKING: Abuja #EndSARS Protesters Block Kuje, Airport Road
#EndSARS protesters have blocked the Kuje road leading to the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua expressway.
The protesters also blocked the Airport road, preventing motorists from the right of way.
Although it has been reported that Soldiers have blocked the initial venue of the planned #EndSARS protest in Abuja.
The military officers were stationed at the popular Aya roundabout early Monday morning, with a roadblock and barricade.
Also, police officers are stationed in front of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) headquarters with Armoured Personnel Carrier and water cannons.
The protesters gathered at the Kuje road and the Airport road to press home their demands.
