Students subjected to medical tests after foetus was found in the hostel

Female students of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL), Niger State, are angry over the way they were abused during a medical test conducted in the school.

According to reports, the female students were made to undergo test during an investigation into an abandoned foetus that was found in one of the hostels.

CAMPUSLIFE reports that the foetus, which is about 6 months old was discovered on Saturday at about 6 am. A 100-Level student of History and International Relations was the first person to stumble upon the foetus before she reported to other students and security officials.

The Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the school, Major Tete Kudu (rtd), the Dean of Students’ Affairs (DSA), Dr Musa Ma’ali, as well as a nursing staff working at the university clinic, began an interrogation into the case causing for the female students to undergo medical tests to ascertain who the culprit is.

This according to CAMPUSLIFE caused some students to miss their morning lectures as a result of the medical test.

Some students who spoke with CAMPUSLIFE said;

“I am yet to fully comprehend why this disturbing and horrific incident should happen. The student who committed this wicked act must be heartless. If she had paid absolute attention to her studies, this would not have happened,” said the source.
