‘Stop mining activities in Zamfara is a nonstarter to end banditry’ – Shehu Sani

Senator Shehu Sani has questioned the decision of the Federal Government to stop minning activities in Zamfara State in order to curb the activities of bandits.

Sani however pointed out that suspension of mining activities by FG is a good step in ending illegal mining in Zamfara State.

Sani described the suspension of mining activities to stop bandits killings as “a non starter in ending Banditry. The nation is at war;the moral, historical & constitutional calling at times like this is for the leadership to frontally rise to the occasion in defence of this republic.”

It should be recalled that, FG ordered the immediate suspension of inning activities in Zamfara State in order to deploy troops to curb the activities of bandits.
