Stop acting like Sharibu and Chibok girls are sitting under a tree and Buhari has failed to rescue them – Presidency comes for CAN

Buhari is very pained about Leah Sharibu's continued captivity - Presidency

President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide on Social Media, Mrs. Lauretta Onochie has expressed dissatisfaction about how the Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN) has gone about the continued captivity of Leah Sharibu and the remaining Chibok girls.

Sharibu was kidnapped alongside her schoolmates in their secondary school in Dapchi, Borno state in February 2018.

However, when the insurgents “voluntarily’ returned her mates, Sharibu was left behind because she refused to denounce her Christian faith.

Speaking on the continued captivity of Leah Sharibu and the remaining Chibok girls, Mrs. Onochie accused CAN of acting like the girls “were sitting under the tree and government has refused to rescue them.”

She said while speaking via Twitter on Tuesday morning that the President is very pained by their continued abduction.

She wrote; Pres @MBuhari is pained by the continued captivity of Leah Sharibu and the remaining Chibok girls
We want them all back.
But the way and manner Christian Association Of Nigeria goes about it suggest the girls are just sitting under a tree and the govt has refused to rescue them.
