BREAKING NEWS: Buhari yet to sign new minimum wage bill – Presidency

Contrary to reports making round, Nigeria’s Presidency has debunked rumours that President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the N30,000 minimum wage bill.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang who spoke on behalf of the Presidency revealed that Buhari is yet to sign the N30,000 minimum wage bill and according to him, signing of bills was not done in secrecy.

Ita Enang however confirmed that the new N30,000 minimum wage bill had been sent to Buhari by the National Assembly, but the President is yet to sign the bill on the grounds that there were operational procedures to be followed.

  1. What operational procedure, are we collecting the same salary or is it not going to the same market, President Buhari should consider us we the civil servants are suffering a lot so we implore him to sign the minimum wage bill before we die of HUNGER. Thank you.
