Lagbaja celebrates birthday, talks about national leadership in profound post

Nigerian folk musician, singer songwriter and Percussionist Lagbaja has been on a low key in the country’s entertainment scene. But this has not, in anyway, made him passive to the present plights of the nation. On January 18 which just happens to be his birthday, he has taken to his Instagram page to weigh in on the crisis of leadership in Nigeria.

Lagbaja who took to his Instagram page to make his observation and give his opinion blatantly stated that the leaders are not the only problem of the nation.

The citizens are also part of the issue the nation is facing. According to the folk musician, it is quite impossible to rule a nation where its citizens are emotionally and mentally weak. For the Afrobeat giant, leadership becomes quite impossible in such a situation.

Even more, Lagbaja also insinuated that a country such as this is bound to loose a war when it happens. In a caption, the veteran singer told his fans to translate his message so that as many people can read it. He also thanked many for their birthday wishes.

See the post below:

“Tell your leaders, somebody should help me translate this to Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and others, I’d repost. #vote wisely and thank you for the birthday wishes #lagbaja.”
