Two suspected Boko Haram sucide bombers die in Maiduguri

 

Two unidentified sucide bombers believed to be emissaries of Boko haram insurgents have died in maiduguri, Borno State. According to reports, the sucide bombers, believed to be a male and female, detonated one of their sucide vests upon sighting troops of 195 battalion on patrol at about 8PM on Friday, 1 December, 2018.

Brig-Gen Sani Usman, Army spokesman, said the sucide bombers left about five members of the Civilian Joint Task Force, CJTF, injured. “The patrol team quickly moved to the scene and discovered it was only the female sucide bomber’s vest that was detonated, killing herself and the male sucide bomber. Unfortunately, 5 members of the CJTF on duty at the market were injured in the explosion.” Meanwhile, Usman stated that the wounded persons were rushed to 7 Division Hospital for medical attention.
