Reno Omokri caught peddling fake news

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has come under severe fire, after he was caught spreading fake news. Omokri, who styled himself, the official ruffler of President Muhammadu Buhari’s feather, in bid to ruffle the president’s feathers, once again, quoted a report that happened under his principal, Goodluck Jonathan’s era, as under Buhari’s.

Omokri, in a tweet he has already deleted said that, the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria revealed that 800 firms had folded up in three years, since Buhari took over power.

However, it was found out to be false, as the report was actually from 2012, Jonathan under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was in power.

Reacting to Omokri’s now deleted tweet, Abubakar Sidiq Usman, a social media user said Omokri, in a bid to malign Buhari, shot himself in the foot.

Reno Omokri in his usual style of posting fake news tweeted earlier today in a bid to paint Buhari in bad light. Unknown to him, the report he referenced in his post is dated 2012, when his hero was the one in charge of the country. Dude has since deleted the tweet, but it’s here
