Belgium International, Eden Hazard, was the difference as his side passed a tricky Watford test to open a two points lead over Arsenal to sit in 4th position on the league table.
The pint size forward gave the host defence plenty to think about all through the match and was clumsily brought down by the host goalkeeper on the stroke of halftime. He duly stepped up and fired the resulting penalty kick past the host shot stopper to give them the lead before they host leveled things up after just two minutes.
He was however on hand to restore their lead again in the second half and the Blues held on to the 2-1 lead. His display during the match has sparked reaction from his manager, Maurizio Sarri. The Italian took out time to sing his praise at the end of the match by underlining how important he is to the team.
What he said:
Sarri says Hazard is very important to the team, as Messi is to Barcelona's and Ronaldo to Juventus's. He notes he scored two goals and also could have had three assists today. #WATCHE
