Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state had threatened to leave his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after the just concluded presidential primaries didn’t go in the favour of his choice candidate.
The announcement sparked a lot of reaction among many Nigerians. However, PDP chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode has begged the outgoing governor not to leave the party.
In a tweet on Tuesday evening, the former Aviation minister, urged Governor Fayose to sheath his sword as there is major battle to be fought, wherein he(Fayose) is really needed.
See what he wrote below
I urge my brother @GovAyoFayose to sheath his sword and not to leave @OfficialPDPNig. Over the last few years we have fought many battles together and it was an honor to stand shoulder to shoulder with you. The final battle is about to be fought and we need you in our ranks.
