U.K returnee shut dead during a confrontation with the police in Abuja

A Nigerian lady, Anita Akapson, who relocated form the UK back to Nigeria last year, was allegedly shot dead by police officers in Abuja yesterday Sunday, October 14th.

Her friend, @Ihekauche, who shared the sad story online, said she was shot at a check point in Abuja.

The police shot her at a check Point in maitama last night , her sister said they were dragging with her and she was trying to run when they shot at her and its killed her. This lady just returned to Nigeria recently having lived almost all her life in the uk and it’s not even been a year shr returned and she gets killed in her own country by our own security personels.what kind of a country is this

Thank you so much. For now all we know is that she was shot at a “stop& search” by the police at the stop,they had a little drag and she was trying to leave when he shot her, this was at maitama abuja. It’s been reported according to the family but no feedback nw till tomorrow

Dragging wasn’t like physically,she was driving and on getting there they had a verbal confrontation, she is not the kind of person to break the law. So her running away was cause she felt threatened

Rudeboy set to lead #EndSARS protest at Lekki Toll gate today

Nigerian musician, Paul Okoye, professionally known as Rudeboy has vowed to storm Lekki Toll gate and continue the #EndSARS protest.

Yesterday, the government of Lagos state announced a 24-hours curfew on the state owing to the turn of events at the EndSARS protest. In the heat of the curfew, unarmed citizens were shot by military men and this is said to have claimed lives.

Rudeboy reacted to painful news by calling everyone out to make it to Lekki Toll gate today. He is so pumped up as doesn’t care if it costs him his life.

He wrote;

Everybody should be at the lekki toll gate tomorrow…….. they have to kill us all we move”

#EndSARS: Nigerian Army Denies Shooting At Protesters In Lekki

The Nigerian army has debunked claims that it had hands in the mass shooting of #Endsars protester in the Lekki-Ikoyi area of Lagos state.

No fewer than 50 people were allegedly shot at and injured during the peaceful protest in Lekki on Tuesday evening by fully dressed military men.

In a Twitter post via the military’s official page, the Nigerian Army denied deploying their men to the location or having anything to do with the said shootings.

Contrary to the army’s claim of it as fake news, video evidence from the scene shows otherwise as officers dressed in camo were be seen firing live ammunitions sporadically at protesters.

Brigadier Francis Omata, accused of ordering shooting at Lekki Toll Gate, is currently the talk of social media.

Photos of Commander, Francis Omata have surfaced the internet after he was accused of being in charge of the Lekki Massacre.

Recall, last night, the Nigerian army reportedly opened fire on peaceful protesters at Lekki toll gate. Prior to the incident, the lights were cut out, and CCTV cameras removed.

However, a brave lady, DJ Switch who was at the scene of the massacre, took a bold step to go live on Instagram with thousands of viewers, including international bodies storming the live.

During the live session, she disclosed that the commander in charge of the massacre is F.O. Omata.
