I Listen To Fela’s Music A Lot – Pastor Adeboye’s Son Leke

Controversial son of the General Overseer Worldwide of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Leke Adeboye, has opened up on his love for Afro Beat Legend, Fela’s music.

He made this revelation at a recent media parley organised by the management of the One Halleluyah Records (OHR), Tribune reports.

“Pastor Kunle Ajayi is my music mentor and we have been to different places to research on music. I won’t lie, I listen to Fela’s music a lot and by my assessment, his works are one of the greatest compositions you ever find in the world. You cannot get bored with his works. So, Nigeria has produced great musicians with good music and I am hoping we leverage on this fact

“Music is very important and it is beyond what is being pumped out to the society. It is beyond entertainment because it connects to the mind and has effect. This is why we are committed to support the gospel music industry, especially young talents from RCCG.

“Personally, I love rap music to a fault and I am happy we have a rap artiste under the label. I pray God will help us in achieving our dreams by supporting talents in producing works that will affect lives positively and win souls for the kingdom,” he stated.

Ajayi also acknowledged the commitment of Leke in floating of the label, as a platform for talents that will connect the world to God through inspirational music.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Label, Mr Lanre Oyegbola, however, hinted that the management and artiste were set to take the industry by storm, just as he noted that OHR was planning a tour of four cities and campuses under a programme tagged: Unbox Tour.
