Buhari recounts journey to political relevance after ‘second retirement’

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday at the State House received the Nigeria Consolidation Ambassadors Network (NCAN), which bought him  the APC Presidential Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms. The president during the event, gave a brief recount of his journey back to political relevance.

The group had purchased the N45m All Progressives Congress(APC) nomination form for the president, a gesture that has continued to be a subject of national debate. Many Nigerians have faulted the president for accepting the offer, as it contravenes a section of the constitution, which doesn’t allow him to accept an offer of such magnitude.

However, Buhari accepted the offer and was presented to him yesterday, in the presence of top members of his government.
