Atiku, Saraki, Fani Kayode react, as Kwankwaso is denied using Eagles Square for presidential declaration

Former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, Senate president Bukola Saraki and former Aviation Minister, Femi fani-Kayode have reacted to the refusal of the Federal Capital Territory Administration to allow Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso use the Eagle Square, Abuja for his presidential declaration.

According to the former vice president, president Muhammadu Buhari, as a presidential aspirant in 2014 was allowed by a Peoples democratic Party led government to use the Eagles Square for his declaration. Atiku said the date was of Buhari presidential declaration was a work day and the PDP posed no hindrance whatsoever.

Bukola Saraki on the other hand says the refusal sends a wrong message in our democracy. He stressed that the Eagles square belongs to all Nigerians.

Fani Kayode in his opinion said that the decision to deny Kwankwaso to use the Eagles Square has made him more popular, adding that the PDP will beat the APC ‘hands down’ in the February polls.
