Shock As 30 Women National Team Players Are Packed Inside A 14 Seater Bus In Abuja (Photos)

In what will come across as a rather shameful development, Nigeria’s U-20 women national team players were recently seen being forced to sit in small a bus and lap themselves after a two hour training in Abuja.

The players are in camp in the FCT preparing ahead of the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women World Cup in August in France.

Local reports show that the World Cup bound players said to be 30 in number, were packed in a 14-seater passenger bus to and fro their training ground. This has reportedly been going on for as many as three months now.

The 14-seater bus is said to have been donated in 2007 by former Ondo state governor, late Olusegun Agagu. Now, eleven years after, the bus is still in action.

Football lovers and journalists are calling on the Nigeria Football Federation to acquire new buses for the women national team and save the country from the embarrassment.
