So Heartbreaking: See The Beautiful Young Actress Who Was Found Hanging From A Ceiling In Her Apartment

23-year-old Indian actress, Moumita Saha was found hanging from the ceiling in her flat in Kolkata on Friday, March 9. The Bengali TV actress allegedly ended her life as she was depressed after failing to get work in the film industry.

Moumita, who used to stay alone in the flat, did not answer the phone calls from her parents since Friday morning.

Worried about the budding actress who had not opened her door since that afternoon, after repeated calls, the neighbors and landlord called the police who immediately turned up and broke open the door of her flat after which they found her hanging from the ceiling in one of the rooms.

Police informed PTI, that a suicide note was recovered from the flat where the actress was staying alone.

“The house owner informed us today after the door of the flat was not opened since last afternoon,” they said.

Investigations are on and according to Police, the actress could have been under “severe depression”.

“We have gone through her social networking site where her last post appeared to be written out of depression. We are going through her mobile call list,” they said.

Moumita in her suicide note reportedly said that she was depressed for not getting success in her career, and apologized to her parents for killing herself.

Her last post on Facebook was on January 18. The cryptic caption to the photo hinted at her sad state of mind. However, co-actors from the Bengali serial Swapno Udan and other friends from the industry said they did not find her depressed and were shocked to hear the news.

“It is a shocking news to me. No matter what a life should not end like this. It’s very sad,” the publication quoted co-actor Rahul Banerjee as saying.

Another co-actress Koel Sanchari also expressed deep shock and grief over her demise in a Facebook post.

“I shared makeup room with you during the time I was associated with Swapno Udan. I am remembering you now constantly. Though we did not spend much time together, I never thought our friendship would be this short. Our last conversation was about this Holi picture. You wanted to come to my home, but I asked you to come some other day as I was having exams. But I can’t believe you would go away so far.

Originally from Hooghly, West Bengal, Moumita was staying at the rented flat for the last few months.

Various reports suggest that Momita was trying her luck in the film industry but even after repeated attempts she couldn’t land herself a role due to which she fell into depression and took the drastic step of ending her life.

Police are also probing into the angle if it is a case of “abetment to suicide” for which they are scanning her call list.
